If you've watched the animated movie Spirit, that's me. I know I don't look like it, but I am a veteran of roping rodeos. I wasn't the one roping. I was the one being roped. Bucking, throwing, and flipping back to throw my riders off. Bronco is my middle name. After an injury on my chest, I was sent to a feed lot to eventually get slaughtered. As life passed in front of my eyes, I had no hope that someone would want a wild horse like me as their pet.
Miraculously, my new owner gave me a chance to become someone better. She took me out of the confinement into the world of prairies and freedom. From Reno NV, I traveled over the Tahoe mountains to Gilroy CA, where I stayed with my big sister Rose. I'm better than her though, so she always follows me around. I'm an alfa in our heard. Since retirement, I've been learning that I don't need to be frightened of people and their ropes. Scratches on my thighs do feel nice, so I'll gently bump my bum into you if you get distracted.
Now, it seems like we're up for another adventure. Rainy days brought the mud and rivers into our pastures in California. Onwards we go to sunny Arizona! If you live in Marana or Tucson area, Rose and I moved there on January 18th, 2023. Visit our ranch at M White Stables! I don't like apples, but won't say no to some alfalfa hay, fresh grass, or a sweet carrot.
